Welcome to the Blog of Stuarticus Harperian! This blog I will be using for homework as well as for helping people see the pure awesomeness of the Science and the Gospel.
I like all the special effects that you used. It made the video supper interesting to watch. I also liked your simple explanations of a complicated subject.
This reminded me of Bill Nye the Science Guy. It was fun and it taught the lesson. the shopping cart example was wonderful, I would have never thought of that, but it makes sense as to why it works. I do think though that the final experiment about adding light versus separating light would be better in a classroom because I had trouble discerning the colors in the video, but I think that's a fault in the technology rather than the experiment.
Excellent job! Bill Nye would be proud! I was particularly impressed by the little pause towards the end for students to discuss the question with one another and form some ideas before going on with the movie. The various scenes were well planned, making the cuts feel seamless and appropriate. After watching the video once through, I was still a little confused as to why the second prism was important, but I think it would be a good opportunity for further classroom discussion, so it still works in the context of a classroom. Good work!
